On January 7th, we transformed Walford Hall in Reading into a vibrant hub of joy, honoring our incredible drivers and shining a light on the impactful work of our partner charity, Berkshire Vision. Our partnership with Berkshire Vision is something we hold dear. This local charity provides vital support, activities, and sports for visually impaired children, adults, and their families across Berkshire. During the event, we not only celebrated our team’s accomplishments but also raised awareness for the impactful work that Berkshire Vision does every day.
A staff member from our company expressed it perfectly: “Together, we raised awareness and support for their cause, and we’re committed to continuing our efforts to help make a difference in their lives.” Our CEO, Ahsan Ikhlaq, echoed this sentiment in his speech, stating, “It’s not just about our achievements; it’s about how we can use our success to uplift those in our community who need it most.”
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the awards ceremony, where we recognized the outstanding contributions of our drivers. Each award was a testament to their hard work, professionalism, and commitment to providing excellent service.
Additionally, we recognized our Driver of the Month winners for each month of the past year, celebrating their consistent excellence and dedication. In his speech, Ahsan remarked, “Each of our award winners exemplifies the spirit of Bliss Cars247. Their dedication and hard work are what drive our success, and we are proud to celebrate them tonight.”
Our CEO, Ahsan Ikhlaq, delivered a humorous speech that had everyone laughing while reflecting on our journey. He opened with a light-hearted joke about a hit-and-run case, cleverly tying it to our business success.
“We launched in 2018 with big dreams and a shiny new fleet. But then came 2019, and boom—COVID hit us harder than a cyclist who didn’t check their blind spot. For two long years, we were parked on the curb. But in April 2022, we decided to rev the engine again.”
His speech highlighted our growth from a small startup to a team of nearly 50 dedicated individuals, emphasizing our commitment to value, vision, and victory.
The event was graced by several important guests, including Laura Mitchell, CEO of Berkshire Vision, Clare Matthews, Head of Marketing and Communication at Berkshire Vision, and Ben Williams, a Licensing and Enforcement Officer for Reading Borough Council. Their presence underscored the importance of our collaboration and the impact we can make together.
Ahsan expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are honored to have such esteemed guests with us tonight. Your support and partnership are invaluable as we work together to make a difference in our community.”
